Minecraft 1.16.4Minecraft News ozbi November 2, 2020
Minecraft 1.16.4 is officially available.
In this Minecraft update, Mojang introduces an additional element into the user interface called the “Social Interaction Screen,” which will allow you to disable chat with certain players, thus hiding the messages you receive from them. In addition, the 1.16.4 update will contain some critical bug fixes.
Edit 02/11/2020: Version 1.16.4 is available and contains all additions and changes announced in pre-releases.
EDIT 27/10/2020 – Minecraft 1.16.4 Release Candidate 1: Added an option to hide the names of certain people. The 1.16.4 is expected to be released on Thursday.
Some servers send chat messages in non-standard formats. If this option is enabled, the game will attempt to apply the chat masking anyway by matching the text of the messages.
EDIT 10/22/2020 – Minecraft 1.16.4 Pre-release 2: This pre-release 2 solves some problems with the new social interaction screen, as well as some bugs:
When you sign in with a Microsoft account, players who are locked into your account are now also stuck in the game.
When you sign in with a Microsoft account, players locked into your account are now also blocked in the game, and account restrictions are now respected.
